About

Zing Streetwear opened its doors in early June of 2009, founded on my inspiration to bring simple, great designs to the t-shirt industry. That inspiration began about a year earlier when I started designing just for fun. After I started getting a few jobs designing logos, album covers, tshirts, ect., I realized there was a place that my designs could fit in. I am 15 years old and am currently attending high school in Statesville, NC.

My success at shirt design is thanks to a dream to start my own clothing line. It seemed like a simple enough idea, but I quickly realized there were a lot of things that needed to come together. After a few months of research and planning, things started to fall into place. After much brainstorming, I selected “Zing Streetwear” as my company name. With the addition of my web design skille, I setup the Zing store and blog, and then, finally, I had my first shirts printed. There was no going back now!

We really didn’t know what to expect, but the response was was really well. My simple Logo Tee, suprisingly, did extremely well and sold out within the first day of just posting it up on facebook, before I even got the shirts in! Orders were coming left and right, and I couldn’t have been more excited.

As Zing started gaining some recognition, I released my second shirt, Zing Tennis. It sold out almost immediately and has become one of the hits of Zing Streetwear. It is now even in a few stores, which I am very proud to say. Thankfully this wasn’t just a dream that I were going to “wake up” from. Zing was here to stay.

Why “Zing”? For now that actual origin and meaning of that name shall remain a secret left for your imagination. It fit the bill for being unique, “searchable,” and brandable. While I may reveal where the name came from someday, I want “Zing” to become simply another way to say “amazing designs and great service.”

My goal is to keep Zing Streetwear current and cool, while providing top quality products and customer service. With that goal in mind, the rest of the story will have to write itself. Stay tuned….
